"A Husband's Duty" 9/29

Welcome to another Sunday Sneak Preview! I missed last week, but am not continuing with the story of Jonathon and Jessica, a married couple who live the DD lifestyle. Jessica went out shopping buying expensive items she couldn't afford in an attempt to impress her estranged sister, who is coming to dinner. She overshot her budget mightily, and cannot tell Jonathon how much she was supposed to spend. Both spell trouble for Jessica...BIG trouble.

At that moment, Jonathon walked in, and I turned my head at the sound of his footfalls. My eyes were drawn, wide with horror, to the wooden spoon he held in his hand. It
wasn’t your typical cooking spoon—he kept this one locked in his desk drawer in
the study, and it was used only for extras I earned during my punishment. It was
made out of thick bamboo wood and stung like hell.

 “Honey, I--”

“You can talk afterward,” he asserted, his voice gruff. “Now turn back around.”

I did as I was bid, feeling a knot form in my stomach. I knew I deserved to be punished, but did he have to use that thing? He knew that I hated it—which, of course, was the point. I had a few more moments to bemoan my fate before Jonathon called for me to come to him. By that time, I was shaking with nerves and tears wet my face.

Jonathon took my hands in his and pulled me toward him until I was in-between his
knees.

“Hey, love,” he said, gently wiping my tears and placing a kiss on my cheek. “I don’t want to do this. I don’t enjoy it, you know that, right?”

“I know.”

“But we discussed what you were allowed to spend before you left, didn’t we?”

“Yes,” I groaned, wishing he would get on with it already. I knew what I’d done wrong, so why did he have to harp on it! Why couldn’t he just spank me and be done with it? Instead, he liked to lecture me until I felt two feet tall and as abashed as a child. His brow furrowed, the corners of his mouth turning down, and I felt myself blush.

“Yes, sir,” I corrected.

“How much was your budget, Jess?”

“I don’t know—sir,” I added hurriedly.

“I have it right here in front of me, if you need it, but if I have to tell you you’ll be getting
the strap.”

Tears filled my eyes again at the mention of the dreaded implement, but for the life of me I
couldn’t remember what number we had agreed on.

“Two-fifty?” I guessed, holding my breath in hopes that I’d gotten it right.

Jonathon sighed and hung his head for a moment, giving me a look at his dusty blond locks that felt like silk against my fingertips. I sighed internally. They were about to fall over his eyes again, which meant he would be getting a haircut soon.

“No, Jessica,” he said as he met my eyes. “Care to try again?”

The moment we've been waiting for! Dun, dun, dun... you only get to see a few lines of this spanking though. ;P
“What--”

He shushed me before the question had left my lips. I obeyed immediately, but my shoulders tensed as I waited to see what he was going to do. I didn’t have to wait long.

“This is for your attitude on the phone earlier tonight,” he said, and I heard the strike before I felt it: the air swished as he pulled his arm back and then brought it down on my sit spot. Each swat landed there, and I cried out loudly with each one. Before the fifth one landed, my feet were dancing anxiously in anticipation of the next lick.

“Be still,” he commanded in a no-nonsense tone of voice.

“But it hurts!”

“It is supposed to hurt, honey. Now, be still before I have to start over.”

They had grown up together. Childhood friends, one-time sweethearts, buddies, then eventually they grew apart. When they met again later, it was love,  followed by marriage... followed by divorce. But somehow, even a year after the divorce, Colby was always the first person she called when she needed help. Colby was her one true love... how was she going to get through life without him?

Then it happens! Colby is willing to give them a second chance... but only if she submits to him as the head of the household. She isn't used to being spanked, and worries that there are some things even a spanking can't fix.  Will they be able to move beyond their past, to build a fresh new future together? Mona loves him so much, and she would do anything for him to save their relationship, but fears that might not be enough. Will she lose him anyway?

A Husband's Duty 9/15

I apologize for getting this up late, but it is with great pleasure that I introduce you to my latest book, "A Husband's Duty". This book tells the story of two sisters that are estranged and haven't seen each other in months. Jessica is incensed that her husband invited her sister, Beth, over to dinner--he knows how she feels about her sister! Indeed he does, which is why he makes her promise to behave herself. Or else.

“I’m going to go balance the checkbook,” he said at last. “You should probably start on
lunch.”
“Yes, sir,” I replied. I was already working on lunch, but I thought it would be better not to point that out. I knew it would come out sounding all wrong. I watched him retreat into the bedroom, probably thankful to get away from my fickle moods. I knew that I had to get myself under control. He didn’t put up with moping for no reason, and I knew what he’d consider to be an adequate remedy. I didn’t think my bottom could handle it.
I was chopping carrots with a loud thack thinking of what had happened to dampen my mood in the first place. In a word, it was my sister Beth. I couldn't believe he'd invited her here without asking me. He didn't ask, I thought to myself, because he knew what I'd say.

"Honey!” I heard him call from the study.

Speak of the devil, I thought to myself before setting my knife down and walking toward the study.

“Jessica! Come in here, please!”

I was still deep in my sour thoughts, too deep to notice that his voice had an exasperated tone--the same tone that usually meant trouble for my tender orbs. If I had noticed, I never would have bellowed, “I’m coming!” which, while not a good idea in any case, certainly did nothing to help the situation I was walking into.

“What was that?” Jonathon asked, poking his head out the door.

One look at the grim line of his mouth, and I halted in my tracks. Uh-oh.

“I said I’ll be there in a minute, sir.”

“Nice try,” he replied drily. “Come in here, young lady.”

Double uh-oh. He only called me “young lady” when I was in very hot water. I racked my brain, but for the life of me I couldn’t remember what I’d done to earn his ire. Still, I didn’t hesitate to obey. Hesitation was only met with more smacks of the paddle. I’d learned that lesson well, and as antsy as his stern gaze made me feel, I wasn’t likely to forget.

I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek into "A Husband's Duty"! Available on Amazon now!

Mona's Second Chance 9/14

We are going to fast forward just a little from where we left off last week. Mona has called her ex, Colby, to come help her because her car wont start. She needs gas,  again, and Colby warned her last time that she'd better pay attention to her fuel--or else. They have talked about him seeing her with her date that she met online-Colby doesn't approve of internet dating; or is it that he just doesn't want her to date? Enjoy, and remember to get your copy! :)

“Look, we met in a well-lit, public place. I don’t need you to take care of me!” I let out a huff when I was finished, but it was several long, uncomfortable moments before Colby said anything. When he did, his words sent a chill up my spine.

“No, what you need is a long, hard spanking,” he said matter-of-factly.

 “Wait a minute, you--”

“If ever there was a woman who needed to be spanked, it’s you.” With that, he reached over and unbuckled my seatbelt.

The minute it popped out of the buckle, I threw the door wide open. I slid out of the seatbelt, out the door, and took off at a sprint.

"Mona's Second Chance" 09/5

Hey everyone! I'm excited to bring you another snippet from "Mona's Second Chance"! I think these two are so good together, even if they don't realize it--yet! Enjoy!
As you may recall, when we last left off Mona had called Colby to come to her rescue after forgetting to put gas in her car--again!!! Last time, he'd promised a spanking if she ever wasted his time like that again! Do you think he's going to follow through?

He turned to me, his face hard. His eyes were glinting in the dark like diamonds when he looked at me, and I instantly recognized the determination in them. “We need to talk.”

My body tensed up, preparing to fight or flee, I didn’t know which. “Can’t we do that on the way to the gas station?”

“No, we can’t. We have some things we need to settle.”

I inched my hand to the door handle, ready to pop it open at any second. “What things?”

“This desire you seem to have to waste my time, and making me worry for nothing. What did I tell you would happen the next time?”

My entire body heated up, because of course I remembered exactly what he’d said and
how I’d responded to it at the time. Still, I knew enough to be afraid.

Again, a tad bit long. Sorry, guys! Hope you enjoyed the snippet this week! Don't forget that "Mona's Second Chance" is now on sale. Get yours by visiting Blushing Books or clicking on the picture below. And remember to check out the other snippets below--I know I will be!
