I was tagged by my dear friend Bella to give some insight into my writing process. Be forewarned: I have no process! Or, if I do, I am blithely unaware. :D
What am I currently working on?
I have several things going on at the moment. I just turned in my Book 2 in the Swift Justice series and that should be coming out very soon. I also am editing a new work, “The Marriage Pact” that I hope to have a contract for soon. Other than that, I’m writing “His Good Girl” the third book in the Old Fashioned Husbands series and working on a spanking legal thriller, “Big Heels, Bad Attitude”.
How does my work differ from others in its genre?
I try to make each of my books very personal to me--often including a conversation I’ve actually had, or some hope or fear that is mine. It helps me get on a deep-down personal level with my characters so that they feel real.
Why do I write what I do?
Firstly, because I’ve been fascinated with all things spanking since I was a child. Secondly, because I truly believe in domestic discipline and its power to heal relationships and families.
How does my writing process work?
Again, I don’t really have a “process”. I do try to outline my stories so I have some vague idea of what I’ll be writing about. I started at my publisher’s request, but it really does help keep me on track. Sometimes I have to go back to change some things, and that’s generally
OK too. My only process, I suppose, is knowing which book I’ll be writing next. Once I start, though, I do try to think on my character and get to know them, so to speak.
That’s it for me and I hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know me a little better! Have a great
day!
